McCabe who has had board connections with the Blades for over ten years talks about the past seasons, United's attendances and much more.
He started on commenting on how last season was a dissapointment on the playing field. He said:"Now we have seen such an upturn since February i suppose it has been difficult and frustration has been the name of Sheffield United's season. Their has been a great argument to say that if we had taken certain managerial decisions earlier we could have had more of a successful end to the season.
"The end part of it has been success and you can justify by saying that the Blades have become the best team in the Championship at the back end of this season. Some supporters say that if we had have got rid of Bryan Robson earlier and brought in Kevin Blackwell then the end of the season could have been much different. Supporters do have their say on things and they all have the right to put their comments across."
McCabe comments on the past few seasons involving Sheffield United:"These last few years have been determind at all levels and to be something different and something special and we still keep on trying. If we try and fail, it's not for the want of trying. If we don't do anything and sit back we may end up what we were five or ten years ago.
"We've not been as lucky as we should have been, relegation was very unfortunate for a variety of reasons. But we did get promoted and had a season in the Premiership, a play-off final, League Cup semi-final, FA Cup semi-final all in the past few years."
He moved on to comment on the magnificent support the Blades have had and he also reveals a very interesting stat. He said:"I am delighted to be the chairman of this club when you look at the attendances we have had. I know we have had to use initiatives but Sheffield United are currently the best supported club in the Championship.
"I was looking at some stats the other day and i think we are the 54th best supported club in the world. That is something we, all supporters should be proud of and we need to do it next season. The actual attendances of this club compared to other big clubs in the Championship and indeed the Premiership have been fantastic here at Bramall Lane."
