WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
VS
SHEFFIELD UNITED

SUNDAY 7 MAY 2005
MOLINUEX, 1PM

The Blades go into this game 8th in the league with three points to make up, they do of course have to win by four clear goals whilst making sure Reading (v Wigan) and West Ham (v Watford) lose by three clear goals, a tall order but miracles have happened before!

In there last game the Red and White Wizards went down to a 1-0 victory against Millwall at home, Jody Morris netted the winner.

The squad selection will be interesting, does Neil Warnock go for broke and hope to secure that final play-off spot or look to re-build on next season. It looks however as he is to the the latter as he introduces teenager Billy Sharp into the fold.

Sharp has spent most of the season at Rushden & Diamonds where he netted nine goals in 16 games for the League Two outfit. It is likely he could start with Danny Webber who will play his last game for the Blades as a loan player before his expected summer move to Bramall Lane.

Meanwhile, captain Chris Morgan will return the side after recovering from tendonitis whilst it has been suggested that former Chinese International Hao Haidong may feature for the Blades, he has yet to play since signing three months ago.

Paddy Kenny, Robert Kozluk, Leigh Bromby, Chris Morgan, Jon Harley, Andy Liddell, Phil Jagielka, Alan Quinn, Michael Tonge, Andy Gray, Steve Kabba.

10th place Wolverhampton Wanderers go into the game after picking a surprise 2-1 victory at Reading last week, Nicky Forster set the ball rolling for the Royals in the 8th minute but the visitors came back to win the game, Leon Clarke (53) and Rohan Ricketts (84) grabbed the winners.

Wolves who have picked up form a late will be looking to upset the Blades efforts to make the top 6, but will be without former Manchester United and England Midfielder Paul Ince who is receiving treatment on a calf injury.

After recovering from hamstring and thigh problems Carl Cort could make a start while Lee Naylor will start despite tendonitis on his knees. However definite absentees are Mark Clyde (knee), Loan Viorel Ganea (kidney) and Mark Kennedy (ankle).

The injured trio join the injury list which also consists of George Ndah, Keith Andrews, Joachim Bjorklund and goalkeeper Matthew Murray.

Expected to make the Wolves line-up is former Blades defender Jody Craddock, the centre-defender joined United on loan from Sunderland at the start of the 1999/2000 season where he played ten games under Adrian Heath.

Michael Oakes, Rob Edwards, Joleon Lescott, Jody Craddock, Lee Naylor, Colin Cameron, Rohan Ricketts, Seyi George Olofinjana, Kenny Miller, Leon Clarke, Ki-Hyeon Sol.

The last time Sheffield United visited Molineux was during the 2002/2003 season where the Blades came away with a 3-1 victory. The home side took the lead when Robert Ullathorne turned the ball into his own net on 35 minutes.

10 minutes later the Blades were level when Michael Tonge shot through a crowded Wolves defence past the keeper. Wayne Allison then headed home three minutes after the break from a Ullathorne cross and Tonge (50) secured the win with a powerful volley.
