The Blades last game was against Colchester United in the FA Cup which saw a dismal performance but a 1-0 victory with a Paul Peschisolido goal. This a first win in three games.
Paul Shaw and Carl Robinson are back in contention for a first team place after being cup-tied against the U's, Colin Cryan and Ashley Sestanovich also missed the game due to being cup-tied but are highly unlikely to be involved against the Baggies.
Midfielder Michael Tonge is a doubt (knee) despite receiving positive results in midweek on his leg, Dean Sturridge (ankle and knee) is debinatly out while Jack Lester and Ashley Ward might make the substitutes bench.
The Baggies last game was on Saturday in Division One, they beat Cardiff City 2-1 at the Hawthorns. Neil Clement gave a 55 minute lead but Alan Lee equalised on 80th while Lee Hughes got the winner five minutes from time.
Russell Hoult has returned to training but the keeper will not play, instead Joe Murphy will be between the sticks while on loan keeper Kevin Pressman will sit on the bench.
There is however doubts over Welsh internationals Andy Johnson (thigh) and Jason Koumas (knee) who pulled out there 4-0 win over Scotland on Wednesday. Should Johnson and Koumas play they could be four Welsh on the pitch with Page and Robinson for the Blades.
Former Crewe Alexandra striker Rob Hulse is back in contention after serving a one match ban but Defender Paul Robinson is suspended.
Man in the Middle: Referee for the Blades v Baggies game will be M Jones (Chester), Jones has yet to be in charge of a United game this season but took charge on 16 September when Wigan Athletic beat West Bromwich Albion 1-0, he booked one man that day.
Last season this referee was in charge of the 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at Bramall Lane in the league, Carl Asaba grabbed the winner. This season the Chester born referee has booked 73 men while giving 5 an early bath out of 23v games (3 bookings per game).
