Mallon has yet to appear in a United shirt this season though he did make one substitute appearance against Grimsby Town last season. Meanwhile this season he has been in Nationwide Conference in double loan spells for Halifax Town and Scarborough (both managed by ex-Blades).
Now it is Mark Patterson's turn to take notice of this 19-year-olds talents. "I have enquired about him and I would like to try and get him, but there are others looking at him," said Patterson."
