The 20-year-old only started playing regular football at this level a month into the beginning of the current campaign. He receives the accolade on the back of being named the Malta Tourism Authority Young Player of the Year, and the Supporters Young Player of the Year.
Naughton beat off three fellow Championship players to the Powerade Player of the Month award, something David Cotterill couldn't do in March when Burnley's Robbie Blake pipped him to the post.
Kyle, a Unitedite said: "I have had a fantastic season, getting selected in the team of the year and playing for England U21, but from a team's point-of-view we still have work to do and we are focused on that.
"We have managed to grind a lot of results out during the season and the confidence is certainly there going into the Preston games.
"There are some good young players coming through and hopefully they can follow me and Kyle Walker into the first-team. I used to live ten minutes away from the ground and I can always remember listening to the fans when I couldn't get down to watch, so it is an unbelievable feeling to be playing for Sheffield United now."
