Sheffield United defender Matt Kilgallon will still appear in a red and white shirt this season after the club snubbed two bids from separate Championship sides. Middlesbrough's and Newcastle United's offers for the 25-year-old were both declined.
The purusuing to extend Kilgallon's contract continues, and the club are trying their utmost to get the former Leeds United centre-half to put pen to paper for further years with his contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
Kevin Blackwell commented: "We had two bids for Killa and I think it shows the club's intent.
"We shall be speaking with Killa again and we would have done so anyway.
"The chairman was always adamant that it would take something ridiculous for him to go and he's been true to his word."
