What a load of tripe the Irishman spoke just over a month ago. 'I owe the club (Sheffield United) my career' - what nonsense, Paddy. What are you going on about? Today (Thursday), his switch from the Blades to QPR was virtually completed when R's boss and former Blades manager Neil Warnock said:

"It's the third time I've signed Paddy and I'm delighted to be linking up with him again.

"There were times when it was him or Shay Given for the Irish spot, and in my opinion Paddy didn't get the recognition he deserved.

"It's well known he's made mistakes in the past but he'll be a great capture for QPR, and I'm sure he's going to be popular in the changing room and with our fans."

So then, Paddy, aged 32, is paid for NINE MONTHS by Sheffield United without playing a single game for the Blades and he then scampers off elsewhere as soon as the season has finished. He played the final two games of United's 2009/2010 season and was greeted on his return by a standing ovation against Swansea City at the final home game.

His disloyalty is a disgrace. He may have put himself under the spotlight for the wrong reasons almost a year ago, but he also drew attention to the club for the wrong reasons too.

'I can't repay them (the Blades) enough', Paddy said on his return. How dishonest can you get?

I hate to say, but, despite him building a healthy reputation and rapport with the Bramall Lane faithful over the years, when he returns to S2 with QPR he should be expecting a very dissimilar reception.

There's plenty more things to unfold with this transfer - we wait with curiosity.
