The 22 year old has made 6 U21 appearances for NI and has netted two goals in the process. Nigel Worthington hasn't seen the new signing from Chesterfield been given a starting birth in the United team as of yet, but his impressive substitute cameos has meant there was no hesitation for Worthington to award the Birmingham born front man a call up.

World Cup Qualifiers against Poland and Slovenia are the games Ward could feature in. He did of course score the winning goal right at the death against Southampton last month.
