Hulse and King have both proved that they can cut it in the Premier League with them both giving a good account of themselves when both United and the Hornets were in the Premiership a couple of seasons ago.
At the beginning of June Rams boss Paul Jewell confirmed that a bid had been turned down by the Bramall Lane Club. Jewell speaking in June said: "We couldn't come to an agreement on a fee and the deal, as far as I'm concerned, is now dead. Those negotiations have broken down completely now, which is a shame."
The deal now looks to be back on with a fee of £2m looking to be on the cards. The 28 year old hasn't been up to things when he returned against Cardiff City in December and was not impressive after scoring zero goals.
