The Northern Ireland international has secured a regular place in Kevin Blackwell's starting line-up recently. With three games left and the possibility of promotion still on the cards, the 22-year-old doesn't want to look forward too much, but admits the dream of playing in the Premier League is unthinkable.
He said: "I am not looking too far ahead but it could be pretty special - let's wait and see. The final three games will be tough but we seem to rise to the challenge. All we can do is take each game as it comes and whatever happens it is sure to be exciting, especially on the last day of the season.
"I have enjoyed starting but I know I must work hard to maintain my place. It is still early days, though, and people will be saying that adrenaline is still keeping me going, but I am a confident lad and have belief in my ability at this level.
"I work hard, as you can see, whilst I like to run at defenders and get in behind them too, so I can mix it up depending on how much success I am getting.
"It would be nice to think the fans have taken to me, but let's wait until next season. The atmosphere at home is unbelievable, the fans are so passionate and there is no better place to be."
