Sheffield United, alongside the other 23 Championship sides and all 20 Premier League clubs, traditionally enter the competition when the Third Round stages arrive. This year's no different.

Leagues One and Two both begun their FA Cup campaigns earlier in the season, but the journey for non-league sides has lasted even longer. A few non-league outfits are expected to be in the hat on Sunday afternoon.

The draw will commence at around 3:50PM on Sunday after Leeds' Second Round away tie at Kettering live on ITV1.

Last season, United were controversially dumped out of the Cup in a replay with Premier League Hull City. One of the referee's linesmen judged that Kyle Naughton's header against his own crossbar crossed the line, but replays on the big screen inside the ground immediately after the incident showed different.

The Blades reached the Semi-Finals of this competition when Kevin Blackwell was Neil Warnock's number two. The Red and White Wizards were again controversially knocked out when the referee bumped into Michael Tonge which allowed Arsenal, United's opponents, to go up the other end of the field and score the only goal of the game.
