Kachloul came to England in 1998 when Southampton purchased the Moroccan for quarter of a million pounds. Previous to that he played in France for Nimes, FC Metz and St Etienne.

For the Saints he played 73 (+ 13 sub) Premier League games whilst netting 14 times, in July 2001 he moved to Aston Villa on a free transfer where he played 23 games and scored twice before being released this summer. Prior to that he joined Wolves on loan.
He could have however now be playing for Leeds United but a deal fell through early on in the season.
