After a crunching tackle with former Blade Shaun Derry the keeper came out worse and was forced to retire from the game, it left Neil Warnock having to move quickly to sign the 30 year old on loan.

"I'm absolutely delighted - he's going to be joining us for three months," Warnock said.
"I've always rated Paul ever so highly, right back to his Oldham days - I've just never been able to afford him and I'm really pleased David Moyes has agreed to it.
"This is no slight on Kristian Rogers. I've told him he's doing well, but I think Paddy could be out for a couple of months and we just need to get quality cover in because of the extent of Paddy's injury."
