The former Coventry City captain is fully aware that if the Blades want to succeed in automatic promotion at the first attempt they simply have to win their remaining four games.
Doyle, one of the four goalscorers in the 5:2 midweek win at Rochdale, is unfazed by the form of city rivals Sheffield Wednesday, and knows that the players must focus on United's results rather than anyone else's.
Doyle said: "We're looking after ourselves. As long as we do the business it's in our hands.
"I don't want to use a cliche but we're just looking at the next game. We've won five in a row and if we beat Leyton Orient on Saturday that'll be six. We're not looking past that."
Four wins out of the last four games would do it for Sheffield United, however, it is likely that the Blades can afford to draw one of their remaining games and still gain promotion.
