The duo who are both available for selection for Monday's encounter with Nottingham Forest played key parts in Good Friday's success. Firstly, Howard who returned to the starting line-up after a lengthy spell on the bench admits that he didn't get the best contact with the ball for his goal.
He said: "I didn't catch it right. If I'd have caught it sweet it may not have gone in but I'm not bothered because it's a very important goal."
Matt Kilgallon who was recently awarded with the Player of the Year award picked up another individual accolade. He was named Man of the Match in the crunch encounter with Reading, and although he picked up the personal award, he confesses it was a team performance which earned United the three points.
He said: "We knew what we had to do, we had the chance to go second and we took it. It was a massive win, we are full of confidence and we knew we could do it.
"Our away form has been unbelievable and we are buzzing, we can't wait for the next game. When it comes to the business end of the season, when the results are massive, we seem to get it right and we want to keep going."
United face a Nottingham Forest side on Monday, who are of course battling to retain their Championship status, and Killa knows the stern test they will provide.
He finished: "We know how hard it will be, they are fighting for their lives. There are no easy games in this division but we will go into the match full of confidence and hope to keep our impressive run going."
