Sheffield United defender Ritchie De Laet is hoping his long throw-in can help turn around the Blades' fortunes. The Belgium international has made three appearances for Gary Speed's side since arriving on loan from Manchester United at the end of last month, but has yet to finish on the winning side after a draw and two defeats. De Laet said: "I want to help the team to start winning and hopefully my long throw can be utilised, you see it all the time in the Championship and if our luck changes maybe the ball will drop our way in the box." The 21-year-old added: "It hasn't gone well in terms of results, but you can't fault the lads for their effort. "We need to start keeping clean sheets and winning games by the odd goal to build the confidence going forward."
