Baxter, 23 will be summoned to Wembley next Friday, 11 July before the Football Association where he will discover if he will be banned or not. He was tested positive for ecstasy in May – he has denied all allegations.
The maximum punishment for failing an out of competition drugs test for a social drug is 6 months. He has already served a three month suspension from Sheffield United, which included his absence from the play-off semi-final defeat to Swindon Town.
