Sheffield United confirmed there 5th place in the league after drawing 1-1 with neighbours Chesterfield yesterday whilst Swindon Town had already been guaranteed 4th position and were awaiting the result at Bramall Lane on whom they would face in the play-offs.
Having reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup last season as well as the semis this season in the Capital One Cup Robins boss Mark Cooper believes that the Blades will be well equipped to challenge a cup-competition.
After their 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient he told the media; “We are the underdogs aren’t we? I am not trying to be clever. We’ve had two good games against them this year and they renowned for their cup exploits and I am sure everybody will be tipping Sheffield United to beat us because of their record in knock-out competitions. We’ll go up there quietly confident and we’ll be looking for a good performance.”
