Evans, who enjoyed a loan spell at Norwich City two campaigns ago, confesses that he has 'chosen the right club' after another three or so sides were also lodging interest when they discovered that the Blades were in for him.
He said: "I'm really pleased it is all done, coming to Sheffield United will bring me regular first team football. I need to be playing and I think this is the place to be. There were a few clubs interested in me and I had a big decision to make but this is the right one, the club has got Premiership facilities and the lads are great - hopefully myself and the rest of the players can get the club back there.
"There's still things to be proved, it was frustrating at Manchester City. I've taken a step down to improve and I can't wait to get going and scoring goals. It's going to be a long hard season and I'm looking forward to it."
