The Canaries were relegated from the Championship last season, finishing on 46 points and were sent into the third tier of English football along with Southampton and Charlton Athletic.
They lost the opening game of the season 7-1 at Colchester United but have been the strongest team in the Division to date and have now won promotion after a 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic.
With a win for Swansea City today (3-1) over Barnsley it is mathematically impossible for the Blades to now gain a top six finish.
Elsewhere Nott's County and Rochdale have both won promotion from League Two whilst Stevenage Borough will play Football League football for the first time since there formation; congratulations to them all!
Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion have already secured a place in the top flight and FA Cup finalists Portsmouth will be in the Championship. Peterborough United , Stockport County and Darlington have been relegated.
