Camara, 32 finally signed a deal that will last until the remainder of the 2009/10 Championship season after being without a club since he left Wigan Athletic this summer - he impressed after a trial in a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday Reserves at Hillsborough.
Blades boss Kevin Blackwell said about the signing; "At a time when we have got so many major players out injured he will bring experience and a bit of quality to the squad."
Although the former Leeds United and Luton Town manager has admitted that the former Celtic strikers role is likely not to be many first team starts, though has hinted that he role with be a vital one; "He is a proven goal scorer, he will be able to give us cameo roles from the bench to begin with," he added.
The Senegalese international could make his debut today against Cardiff City at Bramall Lane - kick-off 3:00pm.
