Cahill, who's loan spell at Sheffield United expires on 18 December will return to Aston Villa without the option extending the loan has been inspirational along side Phil Bardsley since his move from Villa Park. United can however buy in January should the Midlands club agree to sell.
The Dronfield born defender netted twice in away victories at Stoke City (1-0) and Charlton Athletic (3-0) and was named as 'Blades-Mad Man of the Match' as voted by the fans on this website.
