There has been recent speculation that Neil Warnock could be on the way out at the end of the season even if he keeps the Blades in the Premier League, but chairman Kevin McCabe has stepped in to squash such rumours.
PLC chairman Kevin McCabe said: “Neil doesn't have to worry about a contract.
“I would love to see him go on managing the club for a few more years.
“He has a contract that goes on trust and faith.
“That might be unusual but it's a fact and that's why he has been here seven years.
“Neil has the best job in football and already has a good contract.
“We're talking about two people who have known each other for a long time and who get on well. There is nothing to worry about.
“I'm a great believer in stability. He doesn't need to worry because he trusts my word.”
Warnock, 58, insisted: “Kevin has always told me I have a job for life but that might mean I end up as the car park attendant.
“You have to take what people say at face value. I'm in no rush.”
