Yorkshire duo Sheffield United and Leeds United are both in the chase for Bogdanovic, who is said to have had a few problems at Oakwell. The Maltese says he's 'flattered' by the surrounding interest, but does want a deal, preferably at Bramall Lane (his words, not ours), tied up as soon as possible.
Speaking in today's Sheffield Star he claims to be an 'ambitious person' and makes it clear he 'likes' Sheffield United. He said: "Hopefully we (me and Sheffield United) can get a deal done in the next couple of weeks.
"Sheffield United and Leeds United are two very big clubs, so it's very flattering to have interest from them.
"Whoever I move to will be down to ambition, I'm an ambitious person and I want to play in the Premiership.
"It's (contract talks) with my agent right now, I'm hopeful I'll have more news soon.
"It's no secret that I like Sheffield United; they are a fantastic club. I want to further my career and with my next club I want to get into the Premiership.
"People have said I was asking for something special at Barnsley, but I'm ambitious and I want to sign for a club for a longer period because it could take one, two, even three years to get into the Premiership.
"I'm quite happy with how things are developing."
If Bogdanovic signs a contract at S2 it'll be the first player through the Bramall Lane doors this summer, pending on any other contract negotiations with other players.
