An arbitration panel was set up after Sheffield United appealed against an earlier decision made by the FA that Argentinean duo Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascharano were signed illegally and were not eligible to play.
The panel decided that the Blades were correct and that the Hammers punishment should have been relegation but have decided not to do anything about it.
Sheffield United will now proceed with further legal action against the Premier League and peruse the £50,000,000 they believed they are owed in loss of earnings following relegation.
