Blackwell said: "I thought everyone played really, really well.
"We used the ball intelligently and moved well off it. When you see us go out and look like that then it makes you realise our biggest problem this season is going to be keeping everybody fit.
"If we can do that then we've got every chance.
"We are trying to build something and the boys have shown out there what they can do."
United looked anything but a team which had lost three and drawn one of their previous four games as the cruised to victory over the visitors.
Indeed, Blackwell's only disappointment will have been their failure to win by an even more comprehensive margin.
Henderson, United's leading goalscorer, headed over twice during the opening exchanges as the hosts probed City's left flank while Kyle Bartley, the young centre-half Blackwell signed on an emergency loan from Arsenal recently, nearly capped a classy display by blasting home from close range.
That task fell to Camara who, after seeing Mark Yeates force a smart save from Dean Gerken, delightfully controlled the youngster's long pass before blasting the ball into the roof of the net.
It was an emphatic finish from a player who possesses the pace and skill to unlock almost any Championship defence.
That was the signal for United to seize complete control of the match.
As City, who have now taken just two points from their last five fixtures, crumbled alarmingly, Yeates and Jamie Ward both peppered Gerken with free-kicks.
Indeed, there was a sense of inevitability about United's second; a glancing header by Henderson who stole in front of his marker to meet Ward's cross.
City manager Gary Johnson said: "We're a bit fragile at the moment.
"We weren't pulling up any trees but were holding our own and then the first goal killed us.
"I thought the start was pretty even.
"But towards the end they were busier and cleverer than us. We fell behind because of poor defending. It was a schoolboy error."
