Last year, United had a tour of Europe when they visited countries like Hungary, Belgium and The Netherlands. This season, the Blades sealed a ground-breaking deal with the Malta Tourism Board which is a major reason to why the players and fans alike are to visit the island between the 6th-10th July..

Sheffield United Chief Executive Jason Rockett commented: "The combination of football and music will make this a fantastic occasion for Sheffield United fans, Maltese locals and international visitors alike, and will provide another great reason to visit Malta.

"Sheffield United will soon be announcing a series of exciting promotions that we will be staging in conjunction with the MTA. The campaign will be designed to engage football fans, families and students so they can make the most of 'Football, Fun, Music and Sun' on the island."

United's pre-season visit coincides with the 'Isle of MTV concert' where big names in the music industry will perform. The Blades of course went to Malta after the 0:3 success at Cardiff, where players enjoyed public training sessions, trips and go-kart races, whilst a few players made a visit to a local hospital.
