As well as the first team who play in the Championship the Blades will create a B side to play in Pontins Holidays League Division One East which will be made up of inexperienced players. The matches will be played at Worksop Town.
Meanwhile the Bramall Lane club will continue the reserves which compete in the Pontins Holidays Premier Division and will field a squad that is looking to breaking into the first team, the games we persume will continue to be played at the Recreation Ground, home of Chesterfield FC.
Robinson told sufc.co.uk: "Neil Warnock will have a big squad and we need to keep them all occupied when they are not in the senior side - but it is important that we have a route for the younger players to progress.
"Our 14 players on a scholarship would be supplemented by younger ones, even by 16-year-olds on occasions, in the lower league, whilst the young pros in the development squad will join the experienced pros in the Premier.
"We will trial this for a season as a solution to the problem caused by the loss of the U19 Academy age group and the current reduced opportunity to send players out on loan. It would enable us to watch and monitor them in the extra fixtures we will have."
