The game was going to plan and without too many noticeable incidents before the Blades took the lead through Ashley Ward on 58 and four minutes later Ashley was dragged down by his namesake Darren on the edge of the box.
Both players scuffled before their team-mates joined in, Paddy Kenny also ran 72 yards from his box which, along with both Ward's received a Yellow card. Later Kenny was fined by manager Neil Warnock who sent this message to the keeper; "Paddy ran a long way to get involved and now he can run all the way to the bank to pay for it."
And, just for the record the resulting free-kick was bungled in by Andy Gray after Ian Marshall parried Michael Tonge's shot. Paul Ifill later scored for the visitors but United won 2-1.
Terry Robinson told the club's official website." We have to learn from this costly experience,"
"The individuals involved have already been warned and fined, but Neil Warnock should be applauded for the measures he's brought in to improve our record in the past few seasons."
