PFA's Championship Team of the Year is chosen by footballers around the country and of course players who have played against the likes of Kyle. He admits he was really surprised when his name was announced in the prestigious team.
He said: "I was at the awards ceremony and there was Sir Alex Ferguson on the table to my right and Martin O'Neill on the left - I didn't know where to look, there were great players all over the place. I was sitting at a table with a few of the Cardiff players and really enjoyed the night - it was different.
"I was speechless when I heard the news, I couldn't believe it. The team is voted by fellow professionals in our division, players who I have played against, so I'm delighted they think that I'm a good player.
"There are some great players in this division and I was surprised that I was the only United player in the team. I think our defence has been tremendous and Chris Morgan, Matt Kilgallon, Gary Naysmith and Paddy Kenny have helped me a lot.
"It has been a tremendous season for me, my aim at the start was just to get in the team but since Sun was sent-off (versus Coventry), I've come in and kept my place. Since then we've been on a great run and I've played for England's U21's, it's been great."
The PFA's Championship Team of the Year is:
Keiren Westwood - Coventry City
Kyle Naughton - Sheffield United
Daniel Fox - Coventry City
Roger Johnson - Cardiff City
Richard Stearman - Wolves
Michael Kightly - Wolves
Stephen Hunt - Reading
Joe Ledley - Cardiff City
Jordi Gomez - Swansea City
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake - Wolves
Jason Scotland - Swansea City
Well done Kyle!
