Blades' Days Out is the story of what it is like to follow one of English football's proverbial sleeping giants. The highs of promotions and stirring cup runs - Football League Division Four champions in 1982, the ultimate promotion to the top tier at Leicester City on 5th May 1990, with Sheffield Wednesday's relegation on the same day completing the supreme Sheffield double, and great cup wins over Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Leeds United amongst others. On the flip side the lows of relegations and the far too familiar heartache of Play-off final defeats.
Whether they win, draw or lose Unitedites love to booze. Home or away, in the pubs round the Lane, or the bars in that there big smoke, there has been excellent days watching United. Blades' Days Out attempts to capture some of those moments.
The book - written by Andrew McWhirter is priced at £11.00 and to our knowledge can only be bought on auction side ebay (£3.00 postage or free pickup); however please note that this publication features strong language.
