Pressman has been told he can leave Hillsborough in the summer as Chris Turner looks to revamp his Division Two squad. The keeper has been in service at Sheffield 6 for 19 years and apart from a brief loan spell at Stoke City in early 90's Wednesday has been his only club.
He has however been linked with United several times under Neil Warnock's reign and as unsurprisingly become a transfer target this summer too. Though if talks are to begin Neil will have to wait until 30 June when his Owls contract ends.
Pressman told the Sheffield Star: "Clubs have arranged their pre-season programmes by now, so really an early-season game in September would be best.
"We've sounded out various clubs, including United, Manchester United, Celtic, Rangers and Newcastle, and are waiting for feedback.
"Things are still at a very early stage, with many people in the game on holiday, so we'll have to wait and see."
