Youngsters, Anthony Tansley, Lewis Killeen and Rob Nugent all shot on target as the Blades moved a step futher to being champions of the Avon Insurance League Premier Division.
The visitors rarely troubled the Blades as they coasted to there fourth successive reserves league victory in a row. Tansley, aged 19 fired United in front, while Killeen and Nugent (both aged 20) added there contribution after the brake.
Making there return to Blades action was striker Carl Asaba and defender Rob Ullathorne who have been laid off for quite a while, and they both played 60 and 45 minutes respectively with no ill effects reported.
United started brightly of the two teams as the Blades soon took the lead. Just six minutes in TANSLEY picked up the ball outside the area, he had a few options by his side but decided to shoot where his 20 yard drill flew straight into top corner.
The Blades continued to take charge of the first half and came close to a second but two shots from Danny Wood and one from Ryan Mallon would not find the net.
It took only a matter of minutes though for United to make it 2-0, Wood cleverly produced a short corner to KILLEEN who ran unchallenged where his shot flashed through a crowded box as it hit the back of the net.
Carl Asaba almost got off the mark as he put himself in good positions but he was denied on two occasions by the Latics keeper. United however secured the points with little more than 15 minutes to go. Wood again provided a corner but NUGENT found a gap in the defence for him to head home on the near post.
