Blades announce pre-season fixtures

The first batch of pre-season fixtures have been announced by the football club this afternoon (13th May.) None are to be played at Bramall Lane because of the state of the pitch. More will be explained on that later in the article but here are the confirmed fixtures for this pre-season.

Kevin Blackwell has confirmed that he does not want to play any pre-season games at Bramall Lane because the pitch is to get a massive makeover. New turf etc.

He said:"There is a considerable amount of work to be done on the pitch between now and the start of the season, we need to get the pitch settled."
