Blackwell on mission
The United gaffer is yet to bring anyone to the Lane yet but he has confirmed he is set to go globe-trotting to international matches looking for players who have been recommended.
He said:"Over the next couple of days i will be flying out to watch a couple of international matches. It is an opportunity to personally check out the players that have been recommended to us.
"We've said that we will cast our net far and wide when it comes to looking for new signings and with it being the end of the season, this is a great opportunity to run the rule over a couple of names."
Blackwell says he is not rushed into buying new players becasue the current set of players have shown they are capable of competing in the Championship.
He said:"I will be bringing people in but only when it is right to do so - when someone becomes available or when a deal can be agreed. At the end of last season we clearly had a squad that could compete in this division, so if we have to wait until August to get somebody i want, i will do."
