With Paddy Kenny's hearing being put back to September after the goalkeeper requested more time to prepare, Blackburn Rovers goalie Mark Bunn joined the Blades shortly before the season began and has only had one goal put past him, fortuitously at that.
Kevin Blackwell has confirmed that he'll be in contact with Rovers gaffer Sam Allardyce enquiring whether United can extend Bunn's stay at S2. He said:
"Mark has done well and I've got a decision to make. Paddy's hearing comes outside the transfer window so we need to make a decision.
"We've got 'Bunny' for a month initially; we believe he is allowed to stay for six months so with the co-operation of Big Sam (Allardyce), we'll look into that.
"I have to say that a goalkeeper who plays behind our back four tends not to have a lot to do but when you look at his concentration level - which is important - 'Bunny' is mentally sound.
"I'm not surprised that he has done very well so far. I spotted him when he was at Northampton and enquired about him when I came here but I couldn't justify spending money on an area that we were OK at the time because Paddy was playing well and we had a decent number two in 'Benno'."
