Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell believes Stephen Quinn can become a fans favourite at the club after signing a new contract at Bramall Lane. Quinn put pen-to-paper on three-year terms on Thursday and joins the likes of Chris Morgan, Richard Cresswell and Nick Montgomery in committing their long-term futures to the South Yorkshire side. Now Blackwell reckons the 24-year-old can earn the recognition from supporters that might have been overlooked in the past. He told the Sheffield Star: "Quinny is a terrific player who gives absolutely everything. That's why I'm delighted he's here. "He's not always got the recognition or the credit his contribution deserves in the past but things change. Look at Monty (Montgomery), for example. "He was in the same boat but he's really won the crowd over now because people realise what he brings to the table. I'm sure it's going to be exactly the same with Quinny."
