The Conference outfit are currently laying out plans to secure the club financially and as a result have seen it fit to release Hawes as part of their regeneration scheme.
The side only recently signed the Midfielder this summer from Sheffield club Stocksbridge Park Steels, from whom they had recruited from Worksop Town.
Before his Town days Hawes was on the books at Altrincham as captain having signed for the Moss Lane club from Hull City where he started 18 games for the Tigers.
He started his career at Sheffield United where he made 1 appearances and three sub appearances for the Blades, his first game was to replace Don Hutchinson in the 74th minute on 19 October 1996 when the Blades recorded a rare away victory at Stoke City (4-0).
Having failed to cement a place at Bramall Lane he moved onto Doncaster Rovers after completing a loan spell whilst with United, 18 games later he left Belle Vue and went into Sunday League before Altrincham picked him up.
Due his first spell at Moss Lane he played 137 games (+4 as sub) whilst netting 17 times, he left in May 2002 to join Worksop followed by Stocksbridge before re-joining Alty.
He has been ever present this season, making 15 appearances in total, his last game being six days ago (22 October) in the 3-1 defeat at Tamworth in the FA Cup.
