Che Adams scored the games only goal, poking past Neal in the Rovers goal on 42nd minute. Adams, along with Reed and Calvert-Lewin, who made his first Blades start, earned the praise of boss Nigel Adkins in what was a tough South Yorkshire Derby.
Adkins tols the Sheffield Star; "It was a super goal from Che Adams, an unbelievably brilliant pass from Jose Baxter...Che was a threat throughout the course of the game.
"I must say Reedy (Louis Reed) came in in the middle of the park and I thought he had a fantastic game beside Dean Hammond and Dominic Calvert-Lewin making his first start, I thought he did ever so well."
